Hello and welcome to Forjador’s Sketchbook!

Once upon a time… I started this blog out of my passion for Warhammer. I wanted to share with like-minded geeks my drawings and illustrations inspired on that grim universe. As the years went by I decided to expand the blog and to simply show my artwork, unrestricted of any thematic, as well as sketches and doodles with ideas that are always swirling in my mind.

My favourite technique is ball-point pen on paper. I’ve a fascination for black & white. The beauty of working with ball-point pen is that there is little room for mistakes, there is not an undo button. I normally paint my illustrations digitally using a Wacom, but I still prefer to do the sketching on paper first.

As you might have guessed already, my favourite subjects are sci-fi and dark, gritty fantasy. My other interests include playing video games (it is a long term addiction of mine), reading (paper books > ebooks) and studying martial arts. Karate, Kendo and Judo are important milestones in my life.

Please feel free to leave your comments and thoughts (in any language you prefer to write – Google translate is a marvelous tool), they’re going to be appreciated.

P.S. Forjador is pronounced: For-ha-door. It is the Spanish for Smith, an old character of mine from the times I used to play Dungeons & Dragons.
